In response to your questions:

I have never heard of Alfa beer, but would be willing to try it if I found it somewhere.

I have photographed breweries, but only that I recall. One was about 40 years ago, the other about 4 years ago.

I don't recall a bad smell associated with any breweries.

My favorite aspect ratio is the default 3:2 from the camera, but I also like the 16:9 ratio for some of my work. It depends on the subject.

Thanks for answering my questions Rick! ;-) I'm not sure where in the world they sell Alfa, but apparently it's all over the world. Anyway I don't mind the smell either to be honest (maybe I should've rephrased it as "scent") - it's just a peculiar one I guess.

Should you visit the Netherlands someday, just go to a common supermarket and you'll find it ;-) Anyway I don't mind the smell either to be honest (maybe I should've rephrased it as "scent") - it's just a peculiar one I guess. 645? That's like 4:3 right?

something like that. a roll of 120 usually has 12 frames in a 6x6 format or 15 frames in 645 format (never had a camera different than those 2). to me 645 gives the most pleasant view especially when printed.

Ah ok 👍I have (had) no idea, I've heard about these film formats before but never really looked into what the actual size (ratio) was.

on 35mm you can have the full frame (24x36) or the half frame (24x18). these are mm

on medium format is 6x6 or 6x4.5 and these are cm

all the above formats are dictated by the camera, not by the film. the width of the film doesn't change.

Ah like that, got it. I already understood the 35mm formats, but when it comes to medium format (or large format for that matter), I didn't know. Thanks!

Which would you prefer living near and inhaling its smell: a brewery or a bakery (or a coffee roasting factory)? Nice post, interesting info and sights.

Well ... sometimes I cycle past a bakery in the morning and that smell is often very inviting ;-) Thanks for reading and viewing! Appreciate it :)

Haven’t tried Alfa beer but now you’ve got me intrigued (not sure if it’s exported to Canada though)

Haven’t photographed any breweries except the occasional beer in a brewpub (purely for reference purposes, not social media)

Don’t mind the smell of a brewery; it’s quite intoxicating :)

I’ve no particular preference for an aspect ratio.

Thanks for answering Mark. I'm not sure if they export it to Canada, maybe they do. Anyway I don't mind the smell either to be honest (maybe I should've rephrased it as "scent") - it's just a peculiar one.
